Dorothy Self

A former teacher, Dorothy joined Postcard from Paris in the summer of 2010 to pursue her love of design that began as a young girl spending time at the High Point furniture market every year. Having lived in Atlanta, Jacksonville, and San Francisco, Dorothy has been exposed to a host of design styles and experiences, which complement the team at Postcard from Paris.
 
She adores Chinese pottery and used this as inspiration for one of the rooms in her home that is entirely blue and white.
 
Dorothy is a member of the Furman University Annual Giving Council and Furman’s Young Benefactors, and serves on the selection committee of Bridges to a Brighter Future. She holds a BA and MA from Furman.
 
Dorothy enjoys gardening, reading, and entertaining family and friends alongside her husband Thomas.
