The Gallery at Postcard from Paris: Sustainable Art
Original Paintings
Each canvas is painted to preserve environment-from start to finish. Locally constructed and stretched with raw and natural fibers, each canvas is conditioned just enough to sustain the permanence of the paintings substrate. Omitting mediums and incorporating layers of washes filled with ninety percent water to ten percent pigment from earthen matter or dyes is how these one-of-a-kind paintings are born. Using sustainable practices throughout the process reinforces the commitment within these eco-friendly creations.
Reproduction Prints
Exquisite sections of these original paintings have been reprinted to offer a sustainable product with a refined edge. Hahnemühle’s Sugar Cane, a fine art paper, combines high standards with a responsible use of raw materials. A “bagasse” pulp is used that is a by-product of raw sugar production. The cotton portion is made from recycling their own paper waste. Vegetable based inks create color ranges that complement the quality of the paper with each print. A certificate of authenticity by Hahnemühle is provided to protect the security and genuineness of each reproduction with a serialized numbered hologram that allows for artist registration and owner validation of authenticity.
