Julie Perkins

Julie joined Postcard from Paris in spring of 2003 as the shop’s operations manager and transitioned to an interior design role in the summer of 2004. Prior to this, Julie owned and operated an art and framing business for twelve years, developing her artistic and design skills.

Her passion for art and architecture has been further strengthened through domestic and international travel. Among her most memorable excursions is Italy, where she found their architecture, sculpture, and marriage of art and science an incredible inspiration. She has also taken classes in various media of art and design. Throughout almost 20 years of learning about and enjoying art and design, Julie has acquired a remarkable talent for helping others develop their own sense of style.

With a bachelor’s degree in social work, Julie understands the importance of listening to the needs of her clients and understanding their goals. She has an extensive community service background, volunteering for Meals on Wheels, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, where she served as board president, and fundraising efforts for multiple causes. Julie is the mother of two sons.

In April 2006, Julie received an ASID Carolina’s Design Specialty Award for her work at The Cliffs at Mountain Park.
