Favorite room in your house:  My favorite room in my house is my kitchen.  I love to cook and entertain my family and friends.  It’s a very comforting place for me.

 

Favorite piece of furniture:  My favorite piece of furniture is my hall tree that belonged to my dad’s mother.  My dad would tell me stories of his home, which was known in Simpsonville as the big house.  He and his siblings would hide in the hall tree.
 
Favorite pastime:  Spending time with my grandchildren, cooking and gardening.  Grandchildren are the most precious gift I have.  Cooking and gardening are both fun and relaxing for me.

 

Favorite home or design-related magazines:  Southern Living because I enjoy reading about different places in the south and also for the wonderful recipes.

 

Describe your design style:  I would say my design style is traditional although I appreciate all styles.
