Postcard from Paris Designer Receives LEED Credential
Firm strengthens credentials in sustainable design

(Greenville, SC: August 3, 2010) Adrienne Fulmer, an interior designer with local design firm Postcard from Paris, has received her LEED professional credential through the U.S. Green Building Council. The LEED AP Homes credential, which Fulmer has obtained, provides a standard for professionals participating in design and construction of high-performance green homes.  Fulmer is also one of three designers with Postcard from Paris certified GreenAP through the Sustainable Furnishings Council.

LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system, providing third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across important metrics such as energy savings, water efficiency, and improved indoor environmental quality.

LEED professional credentials distinguish building professionals with the knowledge and skills to successfully steward the LEED certification process by demonstrating a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED rating systems.

Fulmer and Postcard from Paris have designed homes with Earthcraft, Healthy Built, and LEED certification, further demonstrating the firm’s role as a leader in sustainable interior design. The firm served as the interior designer of the 2009 Southern Living magazine showhome, which was the magazine’s first green showhome. This home, which is LEED Gold certified, has since been repurposed and serves as the Center for Sustainability for Furman University.
