Mills Mill Associates, Postcard from Paris to Unveil Designer Condo
Luxury Unit at The Lofts at Mills Mill Will Benefit For Our Children

GREENVILLE, S.C., Sept. 30, 2004 – Greenville residents can now get a glimpse of what luxury loft-style living is all about and support children of the Upstate, thanks to a local developer and interior design firm.

Mills Mill Associates LLC, an affiliate of Greenville development company Centennial American Properties and developer of The Lofts at Mills Mill, has opened the doors to a luxury unit designed and furnished by Postcard from Paris European Interiors.

A percentage of the sales from the unit’s furniture and accessories, along with a portion of proceeds from sales of other units at The Lofts at Mills Mill, will go to support the children of the Upstate through For Our Children, a non-profit organization created to promote and sustain the community’s commitment to the education, development and well-being of the area’s children.

In the initial planning of the two-bedroom luxury model located on the exclusive penthouse level, Mills Mill Associates decided to incorporate many of the upgrades available at The Lofts at Mills Mill, including black granite kitchen countertops, a built-in wine rack, stainless steel appliances and track lighting in the master and guest bedrooms.

Next, the designers of Postcard from Paris incorporated a surprising mix of contemporary and European antique furnishings and finishes to make the two-story loft a true masterpiece. The Asian and Indian influences work harmoniously to bring life to original architectural features such as exposed wood beams, arched windows and simple but elegant lines.

“This high-end European design approach blends beautiful antique accessories with sleek, stylish pieces, creating an eclectic living space with charisma, elegance and comfort,” said Linda McDougald, co-owner of Postcard from Paris and executive director of For Our Children. “There is a perfect balance between practicality and inspiration, both required in a cozy loft environment.”

This combination of European design style and rustic architectural features – expansive arched windows, heart pine ceilings and exposed brick walls and wood beams – gives the model at The Lofts at Mills Mill a new life in a remarkably unique old space.

Pete Brett of Mills Mill Associates, recipient of the Greater Greenville Association of Realtors 2004 Revitalization Award for The Lofts at Mills Mill, says that the unveiling of the new model is one of many new signs of life in the historic mill.

“There are many exciting things going on at The Lofts at Mills Mill,” says Brett.  “Most recently, residents began moving into their condos, the pool and fitness center opened, and we just released the exclusive fourth floor penthouse condos for sale to the public.”

The Lofts at Mills Mill offers homebuyers unique and affordable loft-style residences just minutes from downtown Greenville.  The historic Mills Mill textile plant has been converted into 104 condominium homes ranging from 800 to more than 2,500 square feet, each with exposed brick walls, 5-by-10-foot cathedral windows and 14-foot heart pine ceilings with exposed beams and ductwork.  Prices range from the low $200’s, with a few penthouse, mezzanine-style lofts priced over $400,000.
