Favorite room in your house: I love the front porch because I can look out at the mountains and the trees. There's no greater design than what is found in nature.

Favorite piece of furniture: My favorite piece of furniture is my parents' dining room table.  The wooden top used to be a barn door, and the legs came from a cobbler's table.  It has been in our family for years.

Favorite pastime: Dancing has always been my favorite hobby.  I started training in classical ballet at the age of three, and I grew up performing with the Greensboro Ballet in North Carolina.  I am currently taking tap for the first time since 1993, and I am loving it!

Favorite design-related magazine: Metropolis is always filled with great information. It covers all aspects of design.

Favorite room to design:  I enjoy projects related to "green"/sustainable design.  Living rooms are interesting to work with because they must appeal to each member of the family.
