Linda McDougald Design has crafted innovative, distinctive, and timeless interiors of coastal and lakefront luxury homes and mountain getaways, equestrian estates and spacious country homes, downtown lofts and condos, classic city residences, sustainable design, and commercial settings. Our experience includes new construction, remodels, and extensive renovations, with our range of work extending from exterior and interior specifications through furniture selection and installation. Our work within The Cliffs as well as that done in Charleston, Palm Beach, Long Island, Palmetto Bluff, Greenville, SC, Lake Toxaway, NC, and throughout the Southeast has received numerous accolades and been repeatedly published.

Our designers are proficient in AutoCAD, enabling them to work seamlessly with our clients’ architects and builders. Every step of the way, we work closely with each of our client’s partners – architect, builder, landscape architect, vendors – to create homes and spaces of all types that are beautiful but, as importantly, reflects the style and personality of our client and supports their day-to-day needs.
Known for their contemporary classic design, the firm has been published in countless local and regional publications and has received numerous awards, including recognition through the ASID, AIA, and Southern Accents magazine. The firm was also chosen by Southern Living to design the magazine’s first sustainable show home at Furman University.
The firm attracts the highest qualified designers with degrees in Interior, Architectural, and Graphic Design, Art and Art History, and Master in Historic Preservation Design.

Linda McDougald envisioned creating a unique and progressive interior design firm over 20 years ago. As principal and lead designer of Linda McDougald Design l Postcard from Paris Home, Linda McDougald has an extensive background in design, marketing, PR, and advertising, and has used that vast experience to create one of the most admired businesses in the Carolinas and a firm that is considered one of the best with a reputation that precedes it and results that rightly demonstrates that position.
Linda designs timeless, well-edited, sophisticated interiors liking equally traditional to contemporary styles. Her long-term relationships with the finest providers of home furnishings and appointments give her clients access to coveted, trade-only custom interior components. An ASID Allied Member, Linda is also certified GreenAP through the Sustainable Furnishings Council.
Named twice as one of her city’s “most influential,” Linda has long been a leader on the community service front as well — co-founding and serving as executive director of For Our Children; founding board member: Artisphere; member Metropolitan Arts Council; member GHS Children’s Hospital Development Council; member Charity Ball Board for the Rose Ball.
